Riam Shammaa
Managing Director
Dr. Riam Shammaa, MD, is the founder of the Canadian Centres for Regenerative Therapy (CCRT), the first recognized private cell therapy centre in Canada.
Dr. Shammaa is also a co-founder of Freyja Therapeutics. A clinical–stage company with a platform based on umbilical cord stem cells for the treatment of inflammatory diseases. He is an active member of board of directors of multiple biotechnology companies.
Jennifer Torres
Director
Jennifer is passionate about helping early stage technology companies grow. After realizing the impact that initial mentors and investors could have on startups while launching her own health based nutrition business, Jennifer decided to shift her career from entrepreneur to venture capital. Jennifer has previously worked at Neilsen Media Research, Canadian Centre for Regenerative Therapies, and was an Associate at the UGuelph Student Commerce Society. Now, she hopes to continue her journey in helping founders get to the next level through Regen Capital.
vansh arora
Analyst
Vansh is an MBA candidate at Schulich School of Business at York University and completed his undergraduate in economics from University of Warwick, UK. Prior to joining Regen Capital, Vansh co-founded Sarovar Green Solutions, a boutique consulting firm providing management consulting and investment solutions in the oil and gas waste management industry. Additionally, Vansh spent 3 years with KPMG’s risk advisory team, helping clients devise cost reduction and process improvement strategies in various industries.
Esteena Javier
Associate
Esteena comes with 10 years experience in healthcare and management. She is focused on business administration, management and strategic analysis in a variety of industries including biotech, agritech, and healthcare. Prior to joining Regen Capital, Esteena worked at The Toronto Clinic, Athlete's Care, and the Canadian Centres for Regenerative Therapy as the Director of Operations and focused on business development and the implementation of quality systems.
Esteena also brings experience in the industry of biotech through her employment with IntelliStem Technologies and Pallianera Pharma as their Chief of Operations.
